Aldémoros
Host continent, old and weary, pierced in many places by the Breaths. Six Primordial peoples were born there.
An old and weary continent, pierced in many places by the Breaths.
Eldest people still standing on one side, young nations crushed by the weight of their exile on the other — Aldémoros is a host-world that has weathered two Convergences, twice bowed under the rupture of the Veil. Fourteen peoples survive there, hate each other, avoid each other, and sometimes ally when shared extinction demands it.
Aldémoros is not alone. Other worlds press against the thin frontier of the Veil — and each time it gives, an entire people pours through.
Host continent, old and weary, pierced in many places by the Breaths. Six Primordial peoples were born there.
Origin world of the Sculptors, consumed by Chaos at the Fissure. Saurians and Vermin spilled out at the Collapse.
Cradle of Men. First Convergence: poured onto Aldémoros. Empire of Jade, Empire of Men, Albion descend from it.
Cosmic frontier between worlds. Twice broken — First Convergence then Collapse. The Wound at the Great North does not close.
Thirteen peoples share the continent — six Primordials, native since the Age of Legends, seven arrived through the two Convergence Waves or born of their crossing. Click a card to explore each faction.

Seven conflicts, alliances and inheritances shape the relations between factions. They are the warp and weft of every battle in Aldémoros.
The Triple Elven Discord dates from the Desolation, at the First Fracture. The single elven branch did not bear the cosmic shock of the Plan's Fissure: three choices imposed themselves simultaneously, and three branches...
The Great Schism divides the humans into two civilisations born of the same world. When the Empire of Men accepted from the Builder Dwarves the rune-engines and deified the dead Alderick rather than burying him, the huma...
The human-sylvestrin Concord is what binds Albion and the Sylvestrins at the edge of the Mother-Forest. A fragile balance, an unwritten pact, a coexistence that neither party quite names friendship.
The Antagonism Albion vs the Undead holds in a few words: the First Dawn and its Shards. Where a Shard passes, the dead do not walk. This ontological property makes the Knights of the Dawn of Albion the structural enemie...
Star-Steel is a transversal alloy of the Age of Legends, forged in collaboration by the Astréens and the Dwarves at the Dwarven World-Forge. Three uses came out of it; three schools claim it; none quite forgives the othe...
The Draconic Cosmology of Aldémoros holds in three levels that do not mix. At the summit, the Four Ancient Dragons — Long-Drak, Long-Yang, Long-Yin, Long-Tian — who reigned over Aldémoros since the Age of Legends and who...
The Infiltrated Cults of Chaos are the most patient weapon of the Way of Chaos. Not an army — a cosmic infiltration. Everywhere on Aldémoros, in all civilised societies, hidden cults exist. A Mark begins by a nightmare,...
“Precise dates before the Broken Age are mythical and disputed.” — Memorians, Preface to the Calendar.
The Age of Legends is the age of which one tells what one tells, because no people saw its origins with their own eyes. The Astréen Memorants, the Dwarven Forgers at the Book of Grudges, the Saurian Mage-Priests at their glyph-tablets, the Watcher Stelae — each keeps a version, a...
The First Fracture designates two events at different scales. On the Cinder-World, the Sculptors were completing their Plan — a great mother-glyph that was to fix the destinies of all things. The glyph broke under its own ambition, and what came out had no longer form: the cosmic...
The Age of Kingdoms is the age when one tried. The age opens with the First Convergence — the first tear of the cosmic Veil over Aldémoros, which spilled the humans of the Former World upon this world. The Four Ancient Dragons of Aldémoros blessed by the Blood-Gift the imperial l...
The Collapse of the Veil is year 0. All that is counted today is counted from that night.
The Broken Age is the one we live. It has lasted two thousand twenty-six years to this day, and no century of it has known general peace. None. We have learned to count in blood spilled.
